Interview
The first round went great. We really clicked and ended up 'geeking out' about the relevant research for more than twice as long as the interview was meant to last, just because the conversation was so interesting. The interviewer even told me I was his top choice so far but made it clear there were 2-3 other people he still needed to talk to. The second round was fine, different person who was more connected to marketing things than actually supervising the role but ok. Then they ghosted me. I had to send follow-up inquiries after almost a month of hearing nothing from them to find out that they hired someone else for the role. It felt really crappy to tell me I was a top candidate and then just forget about me entirely.
