You need to be persistant here at Nordstrom. You can't just fill out the application online and expect a phone call. Fill it out online, call HR to follow up and be sure they received your application. Once you fill out the online application, you need to fill out a test on customer service, etc. Once that is "graded" you'll get a call if they want to interview you. I had two interviews. One with HR manager, one with the store manager. It helps to have a referral from an existing employee. The HR team and customer service team are very upbeat and knowledgeable about the company and legal processes of hiring. Work cultlure at Nordstrom, as everyone knows, is wonderful. It's a GREAT place to work!!!

Question 1
Tell me a time when you worked in a group and you all didn't agree on the direction the project should go in. What did you do?
So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
