I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PayNearMe
Interview
Recruiter call, hiring manager call, separate calls with two engineers.
Friendly people and no coding, just discussion of technical subjects and personal experience, and a high level code review of a block of code. Conversations made me feel like the team is experienced and capable.
Process with the recruiter was unprofessional, it took months to get a response after going through several interview segments with them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions about strengths and weaknesses in the framework. Verbal code review of a prewritten block of code. Personality/teamwork history questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PayNearMe in Nov 2024
Interview
Average interview experience with reasonably high expectations. Behavioral, coding assignment, and some technical discussions. Unfortunately did not get the interview but they were nice about it and it was understandable.

Question 1
How would you lead a team to success through a large project?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PayNearMe (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2022
Interview
Very casual, but interviewer seemed slightly discriminatory and disinterested with doing the interview. Interviewer asked where I was from, and when he wasn't satisfied with me saying the city and state where I am at, he asked, Where are you REALLY from. What was that? Wow.
