I applied for a job at PokerStars, Dublin. They contacted me and scheduled an interview. I gave the interview and it went really nice. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back from them for over a month. I decided to follow up on my application. I emailed them to get an update on my application. They responded to my email saying that they sent a rejection mail to me days back. I check my email inbox daily as well the spam folder and I had NOT received any response from PokerStars on the date mentioned by them. I also checked my email trash section just in case I might have deleted it by mistake but I couldn't find it there either which means PokerStars are lying. I don't mind being rejected but at least have the courtesy to send a rejection mail. Firstly, it is your duty to keep the candidate informed about the interview process. Here, I had to follow up on my own application. Doesn't it feel unprofessional on your part? When pointed out, instead of apologizing for not updating/sending a rejection mail, you're telling me lies that you sent it days back? Do you think I can't check my email to verify? Extremely unprofessional. Won't recommend to anyone.
