      Scrum Master Interview

      5 Feb 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Vienna, VA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SAP (Vienna, VA) in Jan 2018

      Interview

The interview process started right before the Thanksgiving holiday, so the time frame spanned longer than normal due to planned PTO for associates. Applied online, contacted by recruiter within about 2 weeks by phone for about a 30 minute interview. The next interview was with the manager via Zoom for an hour, followed up within the next 2 weeks (due to Christmas) by another team manager via Zoom. Once past those 3 interviews, the final interview was on-site at the Vienna, VA location for roughly 5 hours with 5 different people. Everyone was very knowledgeable and intriguing, asking detailed questions. Overall, the process was pleasant, but long.

      Scrum Master Interview

      1 Jun 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SAP in May 2015

      Interview

For a global company, Mr. Hasso Plattner, one of the founders of SAP, should consider reviewing its technical recruiting process, because, I would not call it innovative or any kind of catalyst for change. I first interviewed with the Recruiter and shared my experiences that I thought matched up to the job description. Made it to the phone interview with the hiring manager. Sounded like he was unfocused and reading email during the interview. From his description, there are many Stakeholder challenges. Again, I shared very specific successes that paralleled the job description, and I thought the call ended well. He guided me that the Recruiter would contact me within in two days to let me know my status. The Recruiter did not call or write, so, I reached out, and the Recruiter did not reply/call back.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about how someone didn't embrace Agile/Scrum right away and how you guided them to come around.
