I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Toronto, ON) in May 2012
Interview
Attended an info session and then subsequently applied through an employee referral. Got a call from the San Fran HQ. Basic questions regarding previous experience and specific questions on previous sales targets that I carried. She then sent an excel sheet for me to fill in which was basically trying to ascertain my sales ability & experience based on the targets that I carried and the size of the deals that I closed.
Then had another phone interview with a hiring manager from the Toronto Office. This call didn't go well for me since my previous designation was Channel Sales Manager and he was very clear that they only hire people with direct sales exp. I tried to explain to him that though majority of the work that I did was direct to customer but he wasn't willing to look beyond the designation.
pretty easy interview. Had to do a case. It felt like it was just a formality and they put me up to it to fit into their standard processes. Not the best experience but it is what it is
I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (London, England)
Interview
There was a massive lag between the first and second round through the internal recruiters. Then the one with the hiring manager was dreadful, he showed up 10 minutes late to the Zoom and then said ‘I hadn’t even prepared for this, let’s go through your cv now’.
I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (Bengaluru) in May 2026
Interview
I went through two rounds of interviews at Big Gigantic, including a detailed presentation, and was disappointed by the lack of transparency and communication. The role was pitched as significant but the offer reflected a supporting position, with compensation packaged in a way that reduced the actual hike to about 16%. HR did not disclose the budget upfront, dismissed concerns about responsibilities versus pay, and simply stated “people are in line, accept or reject.” For a prestigious brand, this rushed and dismissive approach from HR felt unprofessional and undermined the candidate experience.
