I met with the hiring manager, the panel, and the CEO in the final round. Everyone was nice, professional, and knowledgeable. The hiring manager was eager to expedite me through the process. I was given an extensive and time-consuming candidate project. Despite not being given a deadline, I completed it within a day. I was required to provide references. I have heard nothing since. Ghosted. It shocked me that there was no follow-up. A total disrespect of a candidate's time. A rejection is an answer, ghosting is unprofessional. The company is rumored to have a reputation for asking for ideas and not following up. The hiring process at Starlight reflects badly on an organization with a significant mission to help others. I respectfully withdrew my application.
