I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Salem, OR) in May 2016
Interview
I applied for the job via a friend. She let me know they were hiring so I went online and filled out an application and completed the first online simulator. I got a text (I opted in for text message communication) from my recruiter and she said they wanted to go ahead and do a virtual interview. I did that, which was a really cool process where they have you use a webcam to record your answers along with some multiple choice questions and some essay questions. Then I got an email for an in person interview. At the in person interview I went to the call center and got a tour of the facility, had the interview, did a role play scenario. My interviewer said he was recommending I be hired and I would hear back soon. Because of the timing of my interview it took a few days for me to hear back, then I got the email to complete the background check. That took around 5 days and then I got the phone call that I was being offered the position! I happily accepted. I haven't started training yet.
It’s a grueling process. Do several interviews before you go in for an actual interview. It’s more like a mixer. Meet a variety of people then do a one on one.
The interview went well, but when they asked about my desired length of stay, I explained that I wanted to stay for a considerable time, but still launch or perhaps grow the company. The interviewer then went on a rant about how they thought they would only stay at this job for a short while, and their enthusiasm seemed to wane.
After completing a phone interview there was an in person interview. There were two people doing the interview one person asked the questions the other took notes. It didn't last long and they were very nice.
