      Customer Service Representative Interview

      3 Apr 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Richmond, VA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Richmond, VA)

      Interview

I saw the posting for T-Mobile on a job search engine for the position. The initial application process was easy, just your basic information and work history. Afterwards you have to complete an assessment, which in my opinion was tedious. The first part of the assessment was a call center simulation test. The second part was (the tedious part) a list of questions about personality, leadership etc. Important: You must pass both parts to even be considered for an interview. After I completed this about two weeks later I received an email inviting me to a session called "Day in the Life." At this session they talk about what the job entails, show you around the building, and you listen in on an actual call. Once the session is finished you're emailed to set up an interview. Interviews at T-Mobile heavily rely on the STAR method. You have to give specific work related answers to questions the recruiter will ask. When I came in for my interview I was anticipating a panel of recruiters, but due to circumstances unknown I was lucky enough to only be interviewed by one person. The interview was fast and I thought I did okay as the questions weren't your typical interview questions for my experiences. Exactly a week after my interview I received a call letting me know that they would like to continue with the hiring process and was told to look out for an email to fill out a background check. It takes about two weeks for the information from the background check to get back to T-Mobile and I am currently waiting to hear back from them.

      Interview

It’s a grueling process. Do several interviews before you go in for an actual interview. It’s more like a mixer. Meet a variety of people then do a one on one.

      Interview

The interview went well, but when they asked about my desired length of stay, I explained that I wanted to stay for a considerable time, but still launch or perhaps grow the company. The interviewer then went on a rant about how they thought they would only stay at this job for a short while, and their enthusiasm seemed to wane.
