I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jan 2012
Interview
I got a phone call with a Store Team Leader and then passed my information to another Store Team Leader. I then had a face-to-face interview. The interviews questions consisted of the interview questions on here "Tell Me a Time When"... After that interview I was told that my information would be passed to another Store Team Leader and got another interview within a week with another Store Team Leader. Same 5 questions " Tell me a time When". Then the interviewer asked me to go to Target.com/careers and research the different jobs. After the interview I was told that I would be contacted within 72 hours. I then did my research the next day and sent it to the Store Team Leader. I am still waiting for someone to contact me on the next process of the interview.
This interview process has been a very lengthy process.

I applied through university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
