I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target in Sept 2013
Interview
The work culture at Target seems great! It's a very collaborative environment. Based on my informational interviews, you have to be comfortable with a meeting-oriented culture that is consensus driven and can be slow-moving at times. People are very friendly, positive and optimistic. Many people seem like they are or could be "lifers" since Target has opportunities in a variety of departments so you can control and grow your own career. Target is a hard company to get into and hires many agency people into marketing/buyer roles.
My initial interview with HR was positive. As a recent MBA, I was positioning myself for a buyer role, but I was told that given my experience and interests, there were no positions available.
