The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Portland, OR) in Sept 2010
Interview
I was referred to the position by a current ETL and filled out the online application. I was contacted the next week by a recruiter and was told to take the online personality/skill test. The whole interview process consisted of a phone interview, interview with a store team leader, interview with the district team leader. After meeting with the district team leader, I meet with the store team leader of the Target they were actually looking to hire in, but was told I was not a good fit from that particular store. Talked with the district team leader who said he would keep my resume on hold if any other positions come up. The interview process is the same for each round, 5 behavioral/situational questions( use the STAR format). Target is always constantly looking for employees who have potential as a leader. Make sure to prep for the interviews with various examples. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
