I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Boise, ID) in Oct 2015
Interview
I walked into the local home depot and used their kiosk to complete my application which was pretty simple since I uploaded my resume while at home. Once I got home I received a email that I was going to get an automated call or I could call with my application number. I was surprised it was so fast and easy. So I called answered a few yes or no questions then I was sent to a live rep that asked me more detailed questions mostly regarding safety and past merchandising jobs I have had. Then we set up a face to face interview the next day. During the interview she stated they had 2 openings full and part time. And a overnight traveling team. Once the interview was over she said she would call me since she had a couple more interviews that day. A few days later another manager called and wanted to do an interview for the overnight position. I went in with this manager and it was the same questions the previous interview. He also said he would call after doing a couple more interviews. After a week of no one calling and me thinking I bombed my interviews I received another email from home depot to call the same number I originally called. So I called again another phone interview and when transferred to the rep I stated I have already done 2 face to face interviews. She said i was still a candidate and would receive a call if they want to proceed. At this point if I am offered the job I will decline. I am not going to wait around for home depot to call for another interview.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Mar 2026
Interview
I applied online, and in less than a week, I received an email to schedule a virtual interview with HR from Toronto. He asked me how many hours I could work, if I could start at 6 AM, work Monday to Friday, and if I could lift up to 30 lbs. After that, I talked about myself and answered his interview questions. I had the online interview on Friday, and he scheduled my next in-person interview for Tuesday. I went into the store and met with the MET department. He talked about the benefits and the work environment. He only asked again if I could work from 6 AM, and he said that if I get an offer, I would need to sign it and send it back. Two days later, I got the offer.
Was emailed that they wanted to interview me about a month or so after applying. Did a 1 on 1 interview with the store manager, and the interview was about 20-30 minutes long.

Question 1
Was asked about the HD value wheel, and what it means to me. I was also asked about how I believe I could contribute to those values.
The interview process was very simple. Manager was nice and upfront. The questions were based on the hours I could work, not too much about experience. Just go in confidently and you will get it.
