      Software Tester Interview

      2 Jul 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Triad in Jun 2025

      Interview

The first 2 stages (A recorded conversation with the recruiter and an online technical assessment) were simple enough. But the first real interview I had with the head of testing was a total disappointment. The interview itself was fine, we spent an hour or so going through my past jobs and experience. But the feedback from the interview was utterly bizarre, he claimed that I hadn't done things that I told him that I had, said I hadn't answered questions that I had answered (if you don't like the answer then say so, don't pretend I didn't answer) and claimed I wasn't able to answer questions that he never asked. The entire process felt like he was trying to find any reason to say no and when he couldn't find one, he just made some up.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked me to demonstrate a test frame work that I had written or worked on, but never asked to look at any of the code, or asked me to explain any of it.
