Applied online on the UPMC company website. I received a phone call from UPMC after a few weeks asking to set up an interview. The interview was very easy, some UPMC style behavioral questions followed by a sheet of paper with several simple SQL, C# and general programming questions. Be aware though, the paper quiz was probably was just the department I was interviewing for and not every software job at the company. I knew mostly everything with the exception of a few ASP.NET questions on the technical quiz, and I felt the interview went well, but I believe they went with a candidate with more experience with C# and the .NET framework. I never received an offer which I was fine with, but they didn't even have the decency to give me a phone call or generic rejection email which I believe is very unprofessional. Seemed like overall friendly people, I just think UPMC's HR department is a mess. Make sure to check on their careers page to check the status of your application or you may be in the dark several weeks later wondering if they'll ever reply to you. If you didn't get the job, they probably won't.

Question 1
Entity relationship diagrams and placing various tables in first normal form, second normal form etc.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UPMC (Pittsburgh, PA) in May 2016
Interview
The staff were hypocritically friendly and corrupt, Nepotism at its finest. They hire either their relatives or internal candidates. I interviewed for 4 programming positions and I did well in all of them, yet not received an offer. Some of the hiring managers were honest by saying they went with an internal candidate. Some of the interviews, they already had a candidate in mind, they were just conducting interviews to follow guidelines
I am done with UPMC. Corruption and nepotism is the summary of my experience.
Look else where. Don't let let them low ball you, don't let them get to you.
