I received a call from someone with UnitedHealth to set up an interview. We agreed on the date, but he wasn't sure what time he would be free, so he asked me to be available from 9am until 11:30am. I blocked out my whole morning to make sure I was available and never received the call for my interview. The next day, he called and apologized for not making our interview the previous day and that he was off work that day. I am very understanding and get that things happen, but an email or quick message to reschedule would have been preferred so that I didn't sit around all day waiting for a call that would never come. We proceeded with our interview and he gushed and went on and on about how amazing my experience was and that I sounded like a perfect fit for the position. He let me know that I would be heading on to a second round interview and that HR would be reaching out to me to schedule the second interview. The man I had this first interview with told me that if I did not hear from HR in a week to schedule the second interview, to call him and let him know. A week went by and I never heard from HR so I attempted to call my first interviewer - as he requested I do - I attempted to call him every day for 8 days, no answer, no return of my voicmails. It is now going on passed 3 weeks since he said I would hear from them in a week. I have heard zero word from the company, not even a denial email. I have never had a company just flat out ghost me before and I am blown away by how unprofessional this whole process was. It was a giant waste of my time that I could have been applying to companies who are actually serious about hiring experienced employees.
