Interview
Fair, challenging, multiple interview rounds along with a non math based case study. Most of the questions focused on STAR techniques but the case study required you to lean on what you learned in your mba program.
I waited a couple of months to write this post because I wanted to give the company more time to respond. Alas, I have not heard anything, other than a generic email informing me that I would not be moving forward. My issue, is that they didn't take time to provide any feedback when requested. They just ghosted me. Perhaps Vanguard could mentioned that the firm doesn't have the capacity to give individualized feedback (this in itself would have at least been some sort of response). However if other financial companies who receive more applications can provide feedback, I don't see why Vanguard can't.

Interview
I was originally contacted in November to do a phone interview. This was the typical HR screening type call where they want you to walk them through your resume and ask you some basic behavioral questions. Very simple. Then I was invited to an in-person interview in Scottsdale, Arizona. Had to interview with 3 different individuals (HR, previous LDP's, and current manager). This was pretty straightforward as well but I was extremely disappointed with the follow up, or lack therefore.
I waited about 3 weeks after the interviews before reaching out to the HR contact regarding my candidacy. I emailed her and left several voicemails but she never returned my calls. Eventually I even tried contacting her admin and another individual I interviewed with to flag her down and was told she would relay my messages. After another week or so I finally heard back from the aforementioned HR contact and was told they would be moving forward with other candidates. This was terribly unprofessional and tarnished my whole experience interviewing with this company. I would not give Vanguard much consideration as a potential employer.

They had us do a role play exercise with a current employee, regarding how we would deal with a difficult subordinate as a manager. We had about 10 minutes to read a mini case that prefaced the background information and then had to deliver how we would handle the situation.
