I was contacted by a vodafone recruiter. He told me about the position which i was very interested in. He submitted my CV for the hiring manager to review. Normaly i would expect that a telephonic interview would be arranged but this time I got a call from the recruiter with in a weeks time of submitting the CV and he told me that the hiring manager wants to schedule a face to face interview.
On asking about the format of the interview, was told that it would be a competency based interview and would be a discussion on my career and skill sets.
Today i had my interview and was very impressed. The interview was held in a very relaxed and casual environment.
It started with a brief discussion about my linkedin profile. I actualy did a study of the interviewer and so did he. So a very casual discussion on that.
After that the interviewer told me a bit ore about the job, what his team does and what his expectations were. He asked me what do you think of the job profile.

The thing that was prominent in your profile was your technology knowledge. How did you transition from technical role to service oriented role?
Why Vodafone? What made you apply for Vodafone?
The interviewer after having conversation asked me if i had any questions.
We discussed about the organizational structure, where the role falls with the org, the seniority level of it and lso career progression.
Finally once we were done, i was asked that if there is any thing that i would want to tell him. I tried to re iterate what i said before, made emphasis on my career achievements and key strengths.
