I have been working at Vodafone full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere and culture Beautiful campus with ample parking Very friendly and approachable people, including senior managers Wide array of training and development opportunities outside of main role (LinkedIn Learning, Vodafone University, funding courses and qualifications, apprenticeships, Graduate led seminars) Many extra-curricular activities to be involved with Flexible working (start and finish times and how your day is structured) Great benefits package Allows graduates to organise their time and duties independently

    Cons

No say in first two placements - can end up in roles and teams which do not suit your strengths or interests. Teams are often full of contractors who do not care about your development or well being. This results in a severe lack of on-the-job training or any opportunity to contribute to the team or build your skills. Left to own devices and to occupy one's time too much (given no real responsibility or any real work to do). When given work (rare) it is only admin and clerical work which does nothing to train and prepare graduates for a real role or develop their skills. Projects are regularly cancelled, leaving you with no work and meaning that the time and effort you have put in has been wasted. HQ is located in Newbury (tiny town in the middle of nowhere, far from civilisation) HR are dismissive about concerns and do little to help resolve any issues you have Little guidance from Line Manager (hard to get hold of, ignores emails and messages, attends meetings late, cancels meetings last minute or does not show up without warning)
