      Principal Consultant Interview

      29 Mar 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Boston, MA) in Jan 2017

      Interview

I applied online and very quickly got a call from the recruiter who was very attentive and professional. Next step was a call with the hiring manager which went very well. Last step was on-site interview at the HQ in Pleasanton where I met few people, I did think it went very well as I was always on the spot, yet heard back from the recruiter that it wasn't a fit. As it turned out, WD has a habit of hiring kids in high places such as 'Director' and VP, those will be very insecure with someone who is coming with literally more experience than they do and it will cause them to back away from hiring that person. The funny thing is they may even object on you for a reason they would have been disqualified for themselves, what a joke. My advise for what it is worth to HR, please don't waste people time and your money in a hiring process with such circumstances, it is really awkward.
