I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp (Washington, DC) in Mar 2018
Interview
First a phone interview with a hr person, what some call a"pulse check", for about 15 minutes and at the end was asked my availability for a second interview either in the office or skype. I opted for a skype interview which was a few days later. Frst round they call a "group setting" which is just a group skype chat with you and other applicants and a yelp employee who shows you videos of people making sales calls to small business. This employee said he was not judging us and this session was mostly for our information/benefit. Then immediately after, another skype call one-on-one with sales manager who asks basic interview questions and then a role play of you trying to sell skype to a small business owner who you bump into. Then after that he gives you some advice/critique and you run through the same role-play again with the expectation that you improve what you did the first time. This sales manager was a very outgoing person by the way and I think if you are more quiet/reserved you'll need to fake being extremely extroverted (not just an avg level of friendly). First group skype interview is about 30 mins, the one on one is also about 30 minutes, as they tell in their email to you.

Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.

The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
