Interview
In-person interview with a leader in a branch office who was very compelling and makes a good case for the company, followed by technical interviews requiring 2 coding questions (first whiteboard out a solution to a problem and then code it up in your language of choice). Time is of the essence; being close to a solution is apparently not good enough - you need to complete the exercise, so focus on the solution and not on good software engineering.

Question 1
The code questions were difficult but not impossible. One involved folding a piece of paper with numbers on it - and then writing out the new order of sections; the other one was involving juggling balls with various periods in the air - deciding whether a period was repeatable, even possible (jugglable), etc.

Interview
I interviewed with one of the API-focused teams for a 30-minute hiring manager round. The interview began with questions about my applications to other teams, which had already been discussed with HR, and the mention that candidates may be redirected to other teams felt discouraging before the technical discussion even started.
During the discussion, the interviewer appeared dismissive and showed limited interest in understanding the context behind technical decisions (for example, quickly judging latency as “very high” without exploring system constraints). Overall, the interaction felt somewhat one-sided and not very candidate-friendly.
