To understand the other person's needs (I gave the example of Ford, and his theory that one should always be placed in the others shoes in the selling process), to engage and deflect & counter attack along, being inspired with tenacity and not arrogance to close the sale Was my reply 'You give me the tools and I will build you a bridge' was going through my mind, but he seemed uninterested, so kept it to oneself'. As Nick Moss was keen just to leave the interview as I believe my questioning took him out of his comfort zone.
