I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BenevolentAI (United Kingdom) in Sep 2020

    Interview

I had 7 interviews in total, one screening, two live coding sessions, and a set of technical discussions with one or multiple people in the company. During the technical discussions I was given different problems and had to discuss possible approaches to them. The range of technical questions was very varied and they sometimes drifted outside of my expertise in which case the interviewers were accommodating in restating the question from a different perspective.

I found the process to be very fast, the recruiter I was in touch with was very prompt in responding and updating me on the process. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and approachable and I enjoyed the process overall.

What is health insurance like at BenevolentAI?

...This is evident in their insurance coverage (that is not administered properly and provides abysmal women’s health coverage); the relocation of their office to an inconvenient location that is hardly ADA accessible and nearly 1/4 mile nearest an MTA train stop; a lack of transparent and direct communication with HR, Operations and Administrative staff; and a high attention and focus to shallow activities labelled as “team” building, that actually mask the lack of focus or concern for prioritizing future goals and growth....
