Company provides an excellent compensation package including 401k and company funded pension.. team oriented environment. Working at GA felt like I was part of something very important
Excessive travel has strained work/life balance
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at General Atomics (Poway, CA (US)) in October 2016.
There was an initial screening phone call from HR. They asked general questions about my resume and mentioned I may get a phone call from a hiring manager if they were interested in speaking with me. I then received a call from HR to schedule a panel interview. Prior to the panel interview, I had to provide names and contacts for 5 references. Each of them had to fill out an extensive questionnaire on my personality, experience and strengths/weaknesses. At the panel interview, all of the panel members were extremely nice. The questions were focused on work experience and how it would tie in to a potential role they were looking to staff. I was very impressed with the organization.
At General Atomics, giving back is our responsibility to the communities we're part of. Last month, at the San Diego Food Bank, our GA-EMS employees helped put together 19,584 meals that will help families in need, including military families.
General Atomics-EMS is proud to announce that the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) has awarded the company the Hosted Payload Solutions (HoPS) Mission Delivery Order for the Argos Advanced Data Collection System (A-DCS). http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQ3ZT
