Pros
Autonomous, semi-independent clinical positions within Electrophysiology. Much of this work is dictated by policy and protocols that come from the Physicians. Great flexibility with work hours/scheduling. Benefits are good, too.
Cons
Downsides are the pay scale and range. Due to our speciality within cardiology, compensation should be much more.

Pros
Respected by peers, good work/life balance, ability to communicate with entire healthcare team, being able to improve patient care effectively.
Cons
Very poor communication made to employees from upper management. Constantly being threatened about needing documentation without being given any clear instructions or incorrect instructions on what that documentation is without any accountability. Asked to get fingerprinting for months without being given a code and was completely ignored when I asked for the code for months and when I was finally given the code, they immediately threaten you with your job without warning. The computer systems do not work but they expect you to upload documents and if they are not uploaded, they will threaten you with your job even when the problem is on their end and there is no one to talk to directly about these things and when they find out they actually are wrong they will not apologize. I was told to email and upload my social security card repeatedly - I did this 10-15 times on different emails and servers and hard copied documents before it was accepted which put my identity at risk. Was told I had to come in every day to get tested for COVID after getting COVID from my position at the hospital (this was never compensated) and was charged over 500 dollars for COVID testing I was required to have. I had to drive an hour to come in for every day just for a COVID test until a negative test result was obtained. This was highly unethical because I already was eligible for free COVID testing and already had a positive COVID test, but they did not believe me and forced me to come in just to pay for a COVID test they provided as they only believed their tests which is highly unethical. They also had the COVID testing You are not supposed to be charged like this for tests this job requires of you when you are the one who got COVID from work. Also, you need to buy everything for your office yourself as they do not supply you with any office equipment or make any attempt to communicate with you.

Pros
It's okay. The pay is decent I was making $18.00/hr when there, but I'm not sure if it has increased since. It's like any other call center with strict metrics and back-to-calls with some days slower than others. Management is by the book, don't expect any type of personal attention unless you're a favorite. There is a lot of favoritism and butt kissing and phony vibes but if you just go get your money and make small talk every now and again you'll be fine.
Cons
Favoritism and Terrible occurrence policy
- 1.015 Aug 2023Patient SchedulerFormer Employee, more than 3 years
Pros
ability to work from home was the single positive thing.
Cons
If you're interested in working as a patient scheduler this is not the place to go. Overall, the company doesn't care about legitimate employee concerns/issues and makes no attempt to properly address things. Constantly understaffed and overworked, high stress, filled with incompetent personnel throughout the organization and people in higher up positions who have no business being in their roles, no attempts made to factor in increasing costs of living/ inflation every year as far as merit increases, and an overall toxic work environment where your daily tools, software, and support options to quickly fix problems are grossly sub-standard and antiquated. No one from the lowest levels all the way up to the top would take the initiative to make things better for employees throughout my time there. This isn't a company that values its employees. HR and management had zero interest in fixing crucial problems. Avoid like the plague.

Pros
My colleagues are amazing and work at the very limit of their licenses everyday!
Cons
Advanced Practice Providers are not respected by management at all. It used to be that we were respected and had a voice but those days are gone. If you want to have a fulfilling career as a NP or PA, where you are treated as a professional, look elsewhere.
