    Looking at the whole picture, not many companies can compare to CDW. They offer total rewards that grow and evolve with your personal life and professional career.

    Great people and social culture, decent training

    Cons

    The UK management are inexperienced down to a man and completely lacking in talent. There is no progression as no manager will risk getting found out by moving into a higher position. Massive clique culture in London, with real talent being overlooked in favour of drinking buddies. Reaaallly bad at technology for a technology company. Terrible pay is the icing on the cake.

    Advice to Management

    Hang on whilst you can because the Americans have got your numbers.

    Pros

    Overall the company is well managed and understanding. They try to grow internally when possible. Free coffee, good amount of breaks

    Cons

    As with every company there are management issues, internal politics and all the other stuff which goes with it, however it works and you are made to feel appreciated.

    Advice to Management

    Keep going and narrow down the squabbling.

    Pros

    - Learn various skills on the service desk
    - Service desk teams are friendly and supportive
    - SD Analysts are happy to teach you the ropes
    - Immediate management with experience assist thoroughly if required.

    Cons

    - Upper management do not always fully understand/care what analysts require.
    - Over-reliance of quantity over quality in terms of work load.
    - Underpaid compared to other companies
    - Often get overwhelmed with workload which causes stress after awhile

    Advice to Management

    Listen to analysts problems rather than pressuring them to work harder than they already are.

    Had a personal interaction with UK CEO and it seems like he only contacted the desk to make our lives harder for no reason.

    The over reliance on quantity of work done causes some people to just "flog" the workload elsewhere rather than dealing with it. This is not their fault though as they may be penalised for spending a large amount of time on a larger issue to make sure it gets resolved. This is not how it should be run in my opinion.
