    I worked at CH2M full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good multi-cultural environment in middle east where I worked.

    Cons

There must be some checks on every team leader.

    Advice to Management

Need to implement company standards but not always Client's choice.

    I worked at CH2M full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great staff from all over the world,,, well connected between offices and very helpful people.....

    Cons

it seemed that, there was a kind of hidden war between former Halcow employees legacy and ch2m of course this ended with failure..... ch2m being taken over by Jacobs,,, so the new comers felt like lost with no balance in their work load some are so busy others are left without work and ended unfortunately being redundant, fault being alienated and neglected by legacy management

    Advice to Management

Advice to New Ruler ,,,, if they want to be successful they need to find out why CH2M failed despite it was one of the best company in the world

I have been working at CH2M full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generous benefits, great staff network. The potential to land on some very interesting projects with some great clients or great consortiums. Very good work-life balance - short days. HR are great at considering your home needs when placing you on projects.

    Cons

Career paths for progression are not advertised. Information about the 'next step' is only obtainable through hearsay and internal conversations. This can be tricky in such a large and complex company where you might be based permanently away from the office and therefor, not able to network you into the next role. As a solution, CH2M put 'Managers of Talent' in place and these people are gifted with the power to place you on projects, influence pay and permit training. These people can make or break your career, but all too often, they tend to be too busy/uncaring to reply, not people-interested and tainted by biases (one was sexist - but only one!). Due to the often intangible nature of the work, a meritocratic environment has been hard to create and most senior people are exist only as a function of the time they have spent in the company.

    Advice to Management

Think about your Managers of Talent. Otherwise, good work.

    Pros

Most people are great to work with, so the team feels really close, which is nice. If you ask to do something, then eventually you can do it.

    Cons

It Takes forever to be be recognised that you should be promoted and paid more. Plus graduate programme is disorganised.

    Advice to Management

Boost retention of existing staff, allocate sufficient time and budget for staff development
