I worked at CSC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Enjoyed my 8 years of working with CSC.
People were great to work with, very supportive in my learning, worked on some amazing projects and learnt a lot.

    Cons

Although I loved my time at CSC, I was extremely underpaid and for that reason I left the firm.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the people that make a difference, whom add value to the company.

I worked at CSC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Struggling here... there's not much!

    Cons

Hard work is rewarded with indifference. Management are not concerned with their staff, the entire operation appears to follow a script and any deviation from that is frowned upon. The company prides itself on its far reaching scope, I saw no evidence of that in 2 years. Truly not an enjoyable place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in people

    Pros

Flexibility and work life balance was good at the time
    Some good people work there

    Cons

    Everything else
    Constant job insecurity and redundancies

    Advice to Management

Take an interest in your staff that deliver the services - they are not just a cost

I worked at CSC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Challenging work.
Vibrant mix of technologies stretches employees to the limit.

    Cons

    Limited progression options.
I wrote an email stating "there is efficiency and there is the battery farming of human labour and this is very, very clearly the latter" before moving to another position. Nobody denied the truth of this, even when I was called into several disciplinary meetings regarding it, which were deliberately designed to keep me after hours and which one member of staff attempted to record without my consent. I was told a team of 16 people were working on the issue, where I pointed out their employment practices were willfully creating highly negative health outcomes. The overall response was similar to Chinese factories installing suicide nets e.g. they wanted not to fix the problem but to make me withdraw my criticism and avoid any possible resulting legal liabilities.
Company blind to massively stressful conditions causing widespead mental health issues.
Terrible work systems are accounted for my cracking the whip on low level employees.

    Advice to Management

Consider your employees are actually people.
