Pros

Big company and interesting market position, dominant in food and commodities.

Cons

Hugely arrogant and treats people like commodities. The turnover and restructuring has been going on for years and the company has stripped out it's experienced managers. The Cargill of old has gone. They now aspire to be like every other multinational. I left and was treated unnecessarily badly

Pros

Hard working dedicated and highly skilled workforce. It was a pleasure to work alongside and on behalf of the workforce at Cargill Manchester. Pay and benefits are good and there is a subsidised restaurant.

Cons

Site leadership is autocratic, self serving and inauthentic. An improvement upon the previous leader apparently. The leadership team are driven to emulate this style and this breeds lack of trust, lack of diversity of thought and inevitably conflict. There is a deep suspicion of the motivation for governance and oversight by the group which continues to deprive the site of support from a professional global organisation.
