Pros

Work culture is above and beyond corporations in the U.S. Very collaborative, supportive and inclusive. Executive leadership are amazing people and inspiring. I would cry if I left so many good memories and moments. Always inspired to go above and beyond.

Cons

Working here is amazing. However there are too many managers in different organizations who don’t really contribute to the overall organizations besides brainstorming and execute half baked ideas. Some lack technical knowledge leading to horrible client experiences and calls. There is also a lot of shifiting agenda every 6 months which is understandable but requires thoughtful consideration. Such as Ideas from upper management on cross functional trainings that only strain resources, redirect responsibility and fail to deliver results. Recently seen a lot of micro management from upper to lower management which is causing micro aggressions within teams and stressful environments. Overzealous checks and balances that are only aggravating staff.

Pros

Competitive pay, flexible scheduling, managers listen to you, and ability to work anywhere

Cons

Company is scaling. Lots of work to be done... wouldn't say this is a bad thing though!

Pros

Employees at Circle come from top companies and are great to work with. Highly mission and values aligned, great leaders at the top. Remote-first and managers flexible. Cutting edge company on the verge of something huge. Largely rewarded for work you do, contributions appreciated

Cons

Benefits meh, compared to others I interviewed at could be better. Sometimes a bit top heavy, not meaning C-Suite, just a lot of “Directors” with little to no reports, depending on team upward mobility varies. Not much more, have enjoyed it.

First time I cried as an adult out of frustration

Pros

- If you love grinding culture, get burned and overwork, this is a place for you. - If you like condescending bosses and toxic coworkers, this is a place for you, you will find some here and there, not all of them are, but they don't filter that. - if you don't care about best practices, this is a place for you, things are done as fast as possible, and best practices are thrown out of the window.

Cons

- Strong bro culture. - Grinding is a must here very often. - Management has no easy process for complaints against your manager. - Expletive language seems to be normal, in a positive context could be nice, but in a negative context makes life miserable.

Pros

- Good benefits compared to other companies. - They dont cut pay/salary based on location/cost of living, which is a great thing. - Exposure of crypto and you learn a lot. - Company mission seems good.

Cons

- Work weekends more than normal, if you gonna interview with them, make sure to ask how many hours they expect you to work at weekends in average in a month ( not every weekend but once every couple of weeks). - Condescending individuals on positions of power, unpleasant people to meet. Some of the worst coworkers and individuals I had the misfortune to meet and work with here. - Some people get promotions because they are the gaming buddy of the manager rather than merit. People that are ignorants or that do not deserve it get authority and screw the long term goals of the company. - Some groups have multiple managers but not actual leaders, there are teams that seem to have 2 managers, but there is no actual lead. So they delegate managing task to condescending individuals that have no touch with people and treat people like they were dumb. - Management seem to be ok with people using expletive language during meetings, at some point insulting other coworkers. When reporting it nothing was done since it was also a gaming buddy. - Lack of process of onboarding. - Too many meetings. Half day will go in to meetings, then they expect you to finish your task and exclude the time of the meetings.

So so

Pros

Bootlicking, middle management that feels the need to justify their work by constantly reshuffling people, projects, operations, and structures. This group often lacks both vision and the know-how to drive significant progress. The company strongly encourages employees to fill out “anonymous” external company reviews to help market itself as a great place to work. Can’t review your manager. There is a problem with dysfunctional cross-team collaboration complicated by internal politics, resulting in minimal substantial achievements. Most are good people. Heard from many and experienced myself that if you’re at the top of your field, you aren’t going to learn much here, and not likely to be promoted. Many employees are waiting for RSU cash-out.

Pros

- Great benefits, so much so that I can afford living in SF - Great managers that are both skilled and passionate about the product and how their expertise adds to it - Since Day 1, I've never felt trapped in a certain role; I really like the products that I've carved out for myself and love that I'm building value within my first few weeks with the company!

Cons

- A lot of the inner workings can be a little daunting at first when I dived in; luckily everyone on the team is helpful and enthusiastic about the product - It's both exciting and frightening to be (forgive the cliche) disrupting the banking industry, so sometimes it can be a little disappointing to see that other companies in the space move slower
