    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Digital Risk full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Overtime is almost always available for those that want it. Bonus structure is easy to achieve if you're focused. Compensation is generally good.

    Cons

Benefits are expensive. It's a contractor, so you're at the whim of the clients. It's generally been fine for the decade I've been here, but there was a stint in 2014 where the contract ended abruptly and I was laid off for 6 months.

I have been working at Digital Risk full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    1. Will take anyone for the most part no matter skill or comprehension level. This gives some a chance to advance themselves or make a bit of money before they find a legal way to let you go. 2. Co-workers are great. There is always the occasional squabbling that comes with close quarters and too many hours. 3. Overtime is great because a huge amount of Processors don't make bonus. 4. Some mangers make it worth while and will help even if you are not in their department or under them.

    Cons

    1. Keeps employees and sometime management in the dark about information. This creates panic over job security and misinformation. 2. Departments seem to be encouraged to not communicate with one another openly and freely. Internal division between MLO/Processors/Underwriting/Management creates a very toxic culture. 3. Band-Aids seem to be utilized to skim over greater issues (such as additional training, mentor program for advancement, adjustments to bonus and customer service goals, and looking into a more uniformed system to streamline the Underwriting needs). 4. Every single day we receive multiple emails that inform the floor that we are not performing and need to do better. Most meeting consist of negative language which does not help. This creates a sense of "this is your fault, now fix the problem". Displaying a more unified front would seem to work in these times. Sometimes we are told we are not performing even though we are. This seems to done so that they can get ahead of their goals. 5. Benefits and pay are there but they seem to show how much your are not valued when compared to other companies. 6. There equipment, internal tracking systems, and information systems are antiquated. This seems to be because they do not want to put in the energy or funds to update our restructure them.

I worked at Digital Risk full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Flex schedule, that's about it

    Cons

There is no structure, Everything falls on the processor. The closing team takes no ownership in anything and you are pretty much a babysitter for sales, UW, and closing. Senior management is a joke. Maitland is always having to take on the Jax processing team because they don't know how to address individuals, they would rather blame everyone and put the stress on their good workers. Bonus is non existent and they do EVERYTHING they can to not pay it. They reassign peoples pipelines who cry boohoo for the stress and it's not new assignments its their old loans. Not sure where the logic is for that one! There is no movement in this position and it's pointless to become a manager because they don't get paid enough and constantly work over closing 80 hours

I have been working at Digital Risk full-time for more than a year

    Pros

My experience with digital risk thus far has been nothing short of phenomenal. The company has a few things that are iffy to me but absolutely no company is perfect. Despite the negative reviews and some questionable decisions made by upper management, business is a never ending process of trial and error and I do believe the company has the best interest in mind for producing employees. It is a great company to gain the experience you need within the mortgage industry. The pay is good and the monthly bonuses for production is wonderful. I will say that the management within my department is the main reason as to why I think so highly of digital risk. Staci, Kasey, Sean, and Tom are without a doubt the best management team I’ve ever been under. They are the definition of leadership and truly care about their employees. They all have built individual professional relationships with each associate which I’ve always found admirable due to the rareness of that with a vast majority of companies. They’ve built an atmosphere within that department that has truly proven they care about not only the well being of their employees but also their success. Whoever brought all of them into their positions should be proud of themselves.

    Cons

The insurance isn’t the greatest. The attendance policy is a little backwards but still isn’t too bad. No 401k match.
