Pros

Some good people that work there, but largely unnoticed. Big company experience on your resume. Free parking.

Cons

Nickel and dime attitude. No increases, yet executives are still getting bonuses. Upper management seems to be the core problem. Our President Wayne Shaw had us all pack into a room and read us a story about mice and 2 other characters. I'm sure it was about the changing times and telling us via a book that we need to adapt and be positive. He could have read a short paragraph and gave a brief overview of it, but he didn't care that we were stuck in this small room for such a long time with not much air circulation. We don't need story time from him. I get enough story time with my kids. The threat of being fired / laid off is always hung over our heads. My colleagues and I always hear subtle threats reminding us that the economy is bad and that jobs are hard to find, followed by the threat of layoffs. Then the whole "you should be glad you are still employed" type of attitude. All in all low morale and VERY poor leadership. Seems most of the actions recently are to help shareholders, despite the effects on staff and middle management. . When the reviews came out that AECOM was one of the worst companies to work for, all the points are valid. All this company cares about is the bottom line and how shareholders will react. They keep saying people are their number one asset, but keep treating people like garbage that can and should be thrown out. In one meeting from Shepell FGI, they literally told people that if they are laid off, it wasn't a big deal because you could go to the soup kitchen for free soup. Last thing is TERRIBLE communication and commitment to employees. We were promised more transparency but have never seen any.

Pros

Decent company, good stock plan, good people who want to see you grow

Cons

Very remote management makes things hard, very little team work is locally siloed so its hard for managers to understand the boots on the ground view. Managers are great people but spread very thin, sometimes they accept work before having staff for it(classic consulting move)
