Pros
Flexible hours, this depends on how good your manager is but they're generally good. Builds more skills than you realise. Ability to go and study or have a career break then come back to a job.
Cons
The bonus you get after christmas is dependant on the store's profits, something you can't control and which is reduced due to the price matching of competitors. Managers that aren't your own often come down hard as they don't understand your departments current condition and tend to blame it on you. You're often required to put in extra work when someone has let the team down, without them being reprimanded.
