Pros
Employee Discount Independent Work Sometimes a lot of downtime
Cons
Disorderly Management Toxic Work Environment (Management taking zero responsibility for their neglectful attitude and staff feeling bitter and dejected with management.) High Turnover of Staff (People leaving due to conditions.) Working Weekends Does not listen to the staff! I had many situations with ASDA that was awful. Before this job I had never driven anything bigger than a Ford Focus, yet, they thought that only two training days (one day actually driving the vehicle) was sufficient training. I joined at a strange time for the company as Walmart was bought by the new CEO's that completely turned the company greedy. This had a chain effect that completely poisoned the environment. All of the staff were deeply unhappy, holding out the job to hope it would become what it once was. Management was so disorganised that once I waited three hours to leave for my run and it was expected for me to skip my break. A driver needs to be rested well to avoid making errors so I found this frustrating. Products were often out of date or damaged prior to transit and I had to deal with the consequences with the customer. So as a whole, this should have been a chill fun job, but ASDA made it the most painful process imaginable.
