Pros
Outstanding people, great technical expertise, particularly in in-situ groundwater remediation. Pretty good buildings and transportation businesses (although quite small), water business is relatively steady. Architectural business is top notch. Some global opportunities for staff and some unique aspects of Dutch ownership that benefits ARCADIANs.
Cons
Global CEO and new US CEO/COO don't understand the environmental business, which at about $0.5 billion annually (and shrinking) is half the US operation. Trying to apply management consultant approach to improving a human capital business. Some good ideas, but also some bad ones, and executed poorly. Culling of senior staff is being done without much regard to client and staff relationships. Meanwhile sales are dropping off dramatically, with the lowest level of backlog in over 10 years.
