Pros
Strong vision for sustainable development. Lots of incredibly smart people. Opportunities to do firm-funded research is a genuine differentiator.
Cons
Was oversold a vision of cross-disciplinary, transformative work but this didn't really eventuate. Core work ended up being infrastructure related or adjacent, and many departments were very siloed. Flat hierarchy while good in some ways also meant that senior personnel were not accountable for driving outcomes and leading teams, often acted quite selfishly.
