Pros

If you read the story below you will not be surprised I do not have anything positive to report

Cons

The worst professional experience in my life!!! A toxic environment and a CFO not capable of holding his word. Disrespectful and unethical behavior.  After eight interviews I decided to join Barclaycard to lead a team of four finance analysts. This is what I was promised and what I agreed to. The first day I joined and without any previous notice I was informed that my role changed and I had to co-lead the team with a colleague that was already in the team in the same role the last 15 years. It was the first time in my life I heard the term "Dual-leadership". When I asked why this change happened and what was the plan moving forward, I got from the CFO a high level response that growth opportunities might exist in the future. On top, the colleague who was officially the leader of the team, was refusing to handover to me any element of the work, downplaying me constantly by taking advantage of his powerful position in the organization and pushing me to the limits. After two months I decided to quit. I paid a huge personal and professional cost to join them because I simply believed that they would have offered me the role we agreed to. However, the CFO was not capable of holding on his word. An unbelievable behavior. Of course, I did not even hear an apology from him for the inconvenience his decision caused to me.
