Pros
The front line staff who are trying their best for customers
Cons
Its been sad to have a front row seat to witness Bromfords decline over the last few years since the merger. Bromford used to be an amazing place to work, staff were proud to represent the Bromford brand, they went above and beyond for customers because they genuinely wanted to. Bromford is now having a major identity crisis, it’s obvious the new leadership team do not believe in Bromfords values but despite this they continue to try and ride off the back of Bromfords former reputation as an innovative and people focused business. Housing Operations is in chaos here, despite what they say, customers are no where near the heart of this business, this is demonstrated through the phenomenal and demoralising increase in complaints and the shocking experiences of customers and front line staff. Teams don’t work together anymore, its each for your own, with a focus in hitting your targets/budget above all else! Theres a toxic in-fighting culture amongst Directors, self promoting, fault finding and public inter-team shaming is common-place and now takes priority over working together for customers. Consequently the good staff are leaving in droves. Don’t be fooled by glossy comms about Bromfords old reputation, this sadly couldn’t be further from the reality now.
