Pros

Great pay and benefits, nice cafeteria with cheap food and a wide selection, game room, fumoir and a massage parlor (Ikea pays 30 CHF on all massages)

Cons

Hard, exhausting, fast paced work (as always in Food Service) Very small work space in Bistro (leads to tension) Most of the team is lovely, management is great but there are a couple of people that ruin it for everyone. Constant bickering, nagging, micromanaging, sometimes downright insults. Spreading lies behind people's backs and no one stands up for eachother. Unbearable to work in, not professional at all. New management has been trying to solve this for months but Ikea's policies make firing people incredibly hard even if they are not suited to customer facing work at ALL.

Pros

I have a very empathetic and flexible manager. Although I do meet the requirement to be in office three days a week many others do not and don’t seem to suffer for it. My work can be challenging at times, but due to the slow pace of most things here I rarely feel overwhelmed.

Cons

This is, without equivocation, the most sclerotic organization I have ever been a part of. The management structure and reporting lines are inscrutable and even after 3 years I barely understand how my team fits into the larger picture. My job is a data role, and although getting access to data has improved somewhat, it is still one of my biggest blockers.
