Almost guaranteed promotions. They promote almost everyone.
Cons
Retention at senior associates and below is also horribly low because they are underpaid relative to market, so there is constant turnover and the good staff have fled to higher paying firms. They have since refreshed the ranks with new people who are higher paid (because they were hired at market) but will take at least a year to be fully functional. Guess who has to deal with that on their engagements.
