Lockheed Martin is an exceptional company. Employees are hard working, team oriented, focused on success, dedicated to their customers and are ridiculously smart. The leadership team, and in particular the corporate executives are well balanced (engineering, people and business acumen skills) and are dedicated to supporting their customers, employees and our nation. While the executives have had to make difficult decisions that negatively affected, and will continue to affect employees, these actions are in the best interest of maintaining the company during difficult economic times. LM is a role model to other companies on diversity, which has resulted in great financial performance. It was an honor and a privilege to work at LM.
Cons
Bureaucracy and functional organization stove pipes. Loss of critical talent, and with it tribal knowledge, as a result of internal "take-overs" of organizations within the company.
