Pros

Recruiter was friendly *at first*

Cons

Your error in entering in a paycheck that didn't exist shouldn't cause me to work for free. I get it- I got an extra paycheck while I was laid off and I have to pay that back- but It was your error to pay me extra, it was your error as a company. Having your recruitment tell me it will get taken out of the next two checks, and then tell others it will get taken out of one, and others that it will get taken out of the next 4 checks, is gross behavior as a company. Getting my paycheck notification and it's literally for 0$ and 0cents is horrible. Your errors are causing me to miss bills, bills that I lined up to pay when I got back to work, because I knew *when* I would come back which gives me an estimate on when I'll be able to pay said bills. Due to your neglect, I'm unable to pay many important bills like rent, insurance, pay for things like food for my one animal and myself. I will never go through this agency again. I will actively tell others not to use this agency. I've worked with more then 5 other temp agencies and I have *never* had something like this happen- place me at a location with a lay off in 2 months while having knowledge that it will happen in 2 months, messing up and giving me an extra paycheck, and then not just expecting me to work for free but *lying* to me about the repayment of *your* error as a company?? -100/10 stars

Pros

I can’t think of any pros

Cons

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Manpower during an orientation on April 6, 2026. I arrived early at the job site (around 8:00 AM) and was ready to begin work. Around 9:00 AM, I was wrongly accused of having a body odor issue and was removed from orientation in front of others. This accusation was completely incorrect — I was wearing clean clothes, deodorant, and cologne. The actual source of the odor was another individual, but I was the one singled out and embarrassed. Because of this mistake, I was prevented from starting work and lost a full week of wages. I attempted to resolve the issue by calling shortly after (around 10:38 AM), but no proper resolution was provided, and I was told I would receive a follow-up call that never came. Due to the seriousness of this situation, I have filed formal complaints with the FTC, BBB, and the Illinois Department of Labor regarding lost wages and unprofessional treatment. This situation was handled very poorly and lacked basic professionalism and accountability. Being publicly singled out and removed without proper investigation is unacceptable. I hope the company takes responsibility, addresses this internally, and ensures it does not happen to anyone else.
