Highly skillfull engineers. Salary is in the top range of the market. Potential bonuses for middle are up to 40% of yearly salary (50% cash and 50% stocks) - more on that in Cons.
Cons
Fincrime, crypto, and retail departments are a hazard which you should avoid to be hired in. All of my team members were overworking daily till 9-10pm and most of them worked all weekends constantly. I tried to not work on weekends, but still that was not enough. The staff turnover is crazy - during my 3mo probation in crypto department I had to 2 LMs and 2 FMs, and they were not sharing feedback on me between each other. I got specific goals for my probation which I should've finished which I did and even more, but it resulted in nothing - did not count an inch on final decision. So all in all "Get sh*t done" is not the ultimate slogan as they say. During the probation I got descent feedback with minor issues (citation of LM). From FM side - 0 issues, everything was good, but at the very last day of probation when decision was made he started to bring up nonsense issues - like I was not reviewing his code or reacted on issues in chat, which both arguments are straight lies - I have shown him all Bitbucket history for his PRs and my activity on them and also my high Slack presense. LM also changed his mind drastically and began to present arguments that didn't hold up to scrutiny at all on the last day. The point of this story is that the processes in Revolut (at least in these departments from many many real stories I have heard) are very massy, super shady and there is a lot of inside politics going on. I can't explain why suddenly everyone changed opinions about my work and told me about it at the very last day of probation other that they needed to cut costs for department or something like that and rejecting people on probation is the easiest way. I have a friend working right now there which got both LM and FM giving him "Performing" and even higher quarter score (will results in 100%/normal yearly bonus) and someone from above magically downgraded him TWICE to "Developing" score 2 quarters in a row (each "Developing" cuts the bonus for -50%). Another middle engineer friend in fincrime department got relocated to Spain and got literally no onboarding by teammates at all, because everyone was insanely overloaded and got no time for him at all. Of course this resulted in probation rejection. The conclusion of whether you should work or even relocate in Revolut is for your judgement.
