Pros

Brightpearl offers a nice balance of structure and flexibility. Our targets are clear and it's a really hard working team from many types of background and complementing skill sets, many times the method how we use to reach our target is our choice and it's not a micromanaged environment. We're a team who are proud of the product and care for the success of the Company as much as our own career, however there are plenty of career prospects for the one who is keen to develop. It's hard work and at times many hours but I find that it works like a 'give and take relationship'. It's a set up that works well for me personally - I have a small family and the logistics around drop-offs, pick-ups and nursery bugs is sometimes tricky so the flexibility offered much appreciated.

Cons

This is a fast paced company and as many start-ups there are quite a few changes to keep up with as we try to continually improve. That might not suit everyone but also nothing the company tries to hide.

Pros

Work life balance is the strongest attribute at Sage. Family matters and mental stablity is supported. Top notch benefits.

Cons

Departments with mixed roles of similar tasks, yet separate teams without collaboration.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
