Pros

Thomson Reuters is a very flexible and opportunistic company. It is very family focused and willing to accommodate various lifestyles. There are many programs available to aid its employees on balancing worklife with family life.

Cons

Unequal salaries for equal job title or responsibilites. It does not seem fair that a person's salary can differ based on the department they work in. Pay should be based upon a job title regardless of your department. Thomson Reuters as a whole has become too large and too top heavy. With every new announcement, yet another person has been appointed Sr. VP or CO of something. While the little guys are being offered severance packages or minimal bonuses, the higher ups keep getting hit with bonuses that nearly equate to the little guys full year salary.

Pros

Great environment and people. Lots of overtime available and bonuses during busy season.

Cons

I really enjoyed this job so the only con I can think of is that it is seasonal.

Pros

Plenty of wonderful benefits and the most competitive parental leave I have found in the US job market

Cons

Depending on the organization you work within, you could be working for leadership that expects sales reps to smooth over and fix every single mistake that is made. A lot of these mistakes are because they haven't yet recovered from acquiring new companies and they haven't absorbed CRMs and data correctly. There are many different teams to work with to get the simplest projects done. It feels like the companies values are really in place because they expect the employees to take responsibility for their lack of systems in place supporting them.
