To our former Lexington employee – We’d like to address these serious accusations. While we acknowledge that roles in the transportation industry are not an obvious career choice for us (yes, I’m a woman), women are some of our most successful brokers at TQL and we work hard to maintain a diverse workforce. As the broker position is an entry-level sales position, we do have many applicants who are early in their careers. This is true of any sales-driven company. Perhaps it felt like a frat house to you, but many employees appreciate the energy that brings to the company. Also, our Lexington team has a great history of successful women. Just in the last few months, we have had another woman move into sales management, we have a sales rep who is a key player in our national "Women In Logistics" group, another female recruiter has been promoted twice in less than a year, and best of all a woman who was one of only a handful of founding members to launch the Lexington office in late 2011 has now moved on to another city to lead and open an office of her own. We are stronger because of the women at TQL. We welcome as many strong women as we can get. We would however appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns. Please contact our HR department. Your identity can be kept in complete confidentiality, but it is important we understand why you feel this way and what experience may have led to this opinion you have formed about TQL.
