Pros
Not easy, but it is possible to succeed. Lots of staff start in sales and if they are good employees eventually burn out but move to a different department. So once you get your foot in the door if you stick it out for a few years, you can work doing something you actually enjoy like training or HR or management... Very competetive, loud, and money driven.
Cons
Everyone in the company can see your numbers... So it motivates, but people do have off weeks... Work life balance
