Pros
Good experience and looks good on your CV
Cons
I had to leave the company out of exhaustion. I was not happy with the politics of my team, and whenever I raised the issue with my manager I was always told that this is the way some people behave and that there was nothing they would do to change. They go on about mental health, but if they don't start looking into bullying at work and listen to people's complaints they are not really living up to what they preach. I left the company with incredibly low self-esteem and anxiety. They would promote people based on who they know rather than based on their actual potential. If you come up with a different and easier approach to work (e.g. streamline processes, introduce software that would make the job so much easier), they would not listen. Only a few people get given the chance to prove themselves, and the same people are known to be 'friends' with senior management, so they would get promoted. Not really a fair place where to work and the salary is fairly poor given the size of the company.
