Pros

Good shop floor people - good pay good company with 25 % bad people - who are racist, not approachable

Cons

DIRTY politics - I had too loose my job because of the management and mainly becuase i was from non scottish background. People wont give you opportunity if you are from minority. Being English (White) I had many problems settling down. The people in Engineering are unfreindly and not welcoming. Me and my asian gf both had to loose the jobs because of some cheap comments people made on the personalities. Management failed to transfer our jobs to england or any other place.

Pros

Good experience, core values, attempts to be ethically and culturally aware. Reasonable work life balance but that depends on function and location

Cons

All change when the chips are down. Lack of any planning has got everyone that can protecting their own position (and their stock options) at the expense of others. HR have way too much power for what is only a support function

Pros

Some excellent people. Friendly culture. Ethical. Trying to be customer focused.

Cons

A lot of talk about collaboration but not many people really demonstrating it. Still too many traditional organisational barriers. Difficult to drive any change forward. There always seem to be multiple reasons for not doing something. Too many who want to keep doing things the same way, even though it is not working any more. Very complex processes, no-one really understands how they all fit together, or where the critical gaps are. As a result "unexpected" problems occur at almost any stage.
